Diane Lightsey-Velasco
Diane Lightsey-Velasco graduated in 1986 from Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Her paintings were well received at the popular East Hall Gallery, Pratt Institute. She also studied a semester abroad in Florence, Italy. Shortly after graduation, she won Honorable Mention in the Hazleton Art League statewide art competition in Pennsylvania and her work was displayed at the Hazleton Art League Gallery. Most recently, she was a winner in the prestigious, international Pastel Journal Competition and was featured in the 2006 April issue of the Pastel Journal.

Diane has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, and fine artist for almost twenty 20 years and now resides in Ruckersville, Virginia with her two children. Her studio has been a long awaited dream. "I am very excited to create and share my artwork with the community. I love to paint imagery that inspires me, bringing out the beauty, color, and light of a moment in time."
